Lizzie's Letter from Darcy

I feel deep sorrow for my poor sister, after finding out the contents of the letter from Mr. Darcy. I can only imagine how much emotional stress she is going through, to find out things she never would have expected. In the letter there were the details about why he broke the romance between me and Bingley and our family situation which she quickly ignored, but the most incredible part was the information regarding Wickham. In the letter Darcy said he did provide for Wickham after the death of his father. He also said that the real reason for their conflict was because Wickham wanted to get involved with Darcy's sister, Georgina, for her fortune. I can imagine she must feel bad for the way she has treated Darcy, and for recieving such painful news.

  1. Jane,
I am not trying to be arrogant when I say I agree with you. I hope she feels bad about the way she treated me, and for the painful news it can't be that bad. Everything in the letter is true however, from Wickham to Bingley. Try and steer Lizzie's heart in the right direction.
    Darcy.
